Description:
G-Net Construction is hiring a full-time Carpenter Foreman to manage commercial interior renovation and facility maintenance projects across NYC. This is a hands-on supervisory position for an experienced carpenter who can manage small field crews, coordinate daily work, communicate with the office, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who can lead by example, work neatly, communicate clearly, and help maintain G-Net’s standards for quality, teamwork, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise small field crews on commercial interior renovation projects
- Read plans, review daily work, and coordinate field tasks
- Manage job site layout, materials, tools, equipment, and daily progress
- Coordinate with project managers, office staff, clients, and other trades
- Track manpower, schedules, deliveries, and job site needs
- Enforce safe work practices and proper use of PPE
- Perform hands-on carpentry work when needed
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Communicate field issues, changes, and project needs clearly and promptly
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of carpentry field experience preferred
- Prior foreman, crew leader, or field supervisor experience preferred
- OSHA-40 required for NYC field work
- Must be able to work on the books
- Must have own carpentry hand tools and basic power tools
- Must communicate clearly with office staff, field staff, clients, and trades
- Must be able to manage small crews and maintain daily job site organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Staten Island resident with a valid driver’s license is strongly preferred, but not required
- Commercial interior renovation experience is strongly preferred
- Basic blueprint reading and layout skills are strongly preferred
- Experience with schools, healthcare, nonprofit, senior care, or occupied buildings is a plus
- Own vehicle or reliable transportation is a plus
