Description:
G-Net Construction is hiring a full-time Lead Plumber to support commercial construction, interior renovation, and facility maintenance work across NYC. This is a hands-on field position for an experienced plumber who can perform plumbing work, support service calls, and help guide plumber helpers when needed.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, communicates well, works neatly, and can support both project work and maintenance service work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance work
- Work on water lines, drainage, piping, fixtures, and related systems
- Assist with kitchens, bathrooms, mechanical spaces, and commercial interiors
- Support boiler, hot water heater, sump pump, and ejector pump work as needed
- Work on commercial, healthcare, school, nonprofit, and facility maintenance projects
- Read and interpret plumbing and architectural drawings when required
- Coordinate with supervisors, office staff, and other trades
- Help guide plumber helpers on daily field tasks
- Respond to occasional off-hours emergency service calls as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on plumbing field experience preferred
- OSHA-40 required for NYC field work
- Must be able to work on the books
- Must have own basic plumbing hand tools
- Must communicate clearly and follow direction from supervisors
- Must work neatly and keep job sites organized
- Must have knowledge of safe plumbing work practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Staten Island resident with a valid driver’s license is strongly preferred, but not required
- Basic blueprint reading is a plus
- DEP water service valve experience is a plus
- Gas card or gas piping experience is a plus
- Experience in hospitals, medical facilities, schools, or commercial spaces is a plus
